Freshman year focuses on exploration, self-discovery, and building a strong foundation for future academic and career planning in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Services are individualized to each student’s goals, interests, and postsecondary plans, but commonly include:
Up to one 50-minute virtual one-on-one meeting per month
Interest, skills, and career assessments to help students begin identifying strengths and potential pathways
Comprehensive academic advising tailored to freshman-year goals
Evaluation of the student’s transcript, with recommendations for coursework and extracurricular involvement
Introduction to postsecondary pathways, including college, career, technical, military, and workforce options
Creation of a foundational student résumé to begin documenting activities, achievements, leadership, service, and experiences
Early exploration of colleges, careers, and areas of interest in a low-pressure and age-appropriate format
Assistance identifying and applying for meaningful summer opportunities, including camps, enrichment programs, volunteer opportunities, and academic programs

Sophomore year focuses on deeper college and career exploration while helping students begin building a strong academic and extracurricular foundation for future opportunities. Services are individualized to each student’s goals, interests, and postsecondary plans, but commonly include:
Up to one 50-minute virtual one-on-one meeting per month
Interest, skills, and career assessments to help guide future planning and pathway exploration
Comprehensive academic advising tailored to sophomore-year goals
Evaluation of the student’s transcript and recommendations for coursework and extracurricular involvement
Guidance regarding standardized testing timelines, including the SAT, ACT, ASVAB, WorkKeys, and other relevant assessments
Creation, refinement, and ongoing evaluation of the student résumé
Early college and career exploration based on interests, strengths, and goals
Guidance with college and career fairs, networking opportunities, and job shadowing experiences
Assistance planning college campus visits and career-related experiences, when appropriate
Assistance identifying and applying for meaningful summer opportunities, including camps, enrichment programs, internships, and volunteer experiences

Junior year is focused on building a strong college and career plan while preparing for applications and opportunities that begin during the summer before senior year. Services are individualized to each student’s goals, interests, and postsecondary plans, but commonly include:
Up to two 50-minute virtual one-on-one meetings per month
Comprehensive academic advising and junior-year planning
Evaluation of the student’s transcript, résumé, and overall profile, with recommendations for coursework and extracurricular involvement
AchieveWorks Assessments — in-depth interest, skills, and personality assessments to help students identify best-fit college and career pathways
Exploration of potential college majors, career interests, and postsecondary pathways
Assistance identifying and applying for meaningful summer opportunities, including internships, enrichment programs, and pre-college experiences
Practice SAT and ACT testing analysis, including identification of key areas for improvement and testing timelines
Guidance with college fairs, including recommended schools to visit and strategies for interacting with admissions representatives
Guidance regarding college recruiter visits hosted at the student’s high school
Guidance on effectively communicating with colleges both in person and virtually
Development of a personalized college list based on interests, goals, admissibility, and fit
Creation and refinement of a professional college résumé
Introduction to the college application process and application platforms in preparation for senior year
College essay brainstorming and early essay coaching
Guidance with requesting strong letters of recommendation from teachers and counselors

Evaluation of the student’s transcript, résumé, and overall profile, with recommendations for coursework and extracurricular involvement
AchieveWorks Assessments — in-depth interest, skills, and personality assessments to help students identify best-fit college and career pathways
Development of a personalized college list based on interests, goals, admissibility, and fit
College exploration and individualized research to identify strong-fit colleges and programs
Guidance with college fairs, including recommended schools to visit and strategies for interacting with admissions representatives
Guidance regarding college recruiter visits hosted at the student’s high school

Development of standardized testing timelines and guidance for the SAT and ACT
